Session Outline

Session 1: From Greater Purpose to Action Planning – the importance of defining your ‘Why’ before getting into the ‘How’, plus a process for how you go about it.

Session 2:  Strategic Planning – develop and implement a customer centric, ‘Design Thinking’ approach to business planning.

Session 3: Correctly define the problem you’re solving and who you’re solving it for – recognise the importance of empathy in business planning.

Session 4: Understand the market dynamics at play – what is the size of the opportunity and how is your current market structured? How might it be redefined?

Session 5: Develop strategies to address the identified opportunities – includes reasons why brainstorming is a flawed approach to idea generation and what a better approach might look like.

Session 6: How to design, build, test and refine growth strategies – understand the fundamentals using a market validation approach.

Session 7: Develop an implementation plan – create systems and process to streamline execution. Build financial models, plans and other tools to measure and track performance.

Session 8: Embed the learning into a ‘business as usual’ approach – explore how to implement a continuous process improvement framework to keep your business on track and achieving its goals. Capture the learning outcomes in a formal ‘Business Plan’.
